Ok so what i thought might have been a bad cpu im finding out that the problem is now pointing at the motherboard.
Few months ago when me and MM still lived in the box my pc decided to just die right in the middle of playing ME2. Well upon trying to turn it back on the pc would just be like on, off, on, off. I would have to flip the PSU switch to turn it off. Nothing brought it back. I literally had to go buy a new CPU (i3 530) before it would run again.
Fast forward few months and i get Intel to replace my i5 cause i thought it died on me. Last night i was excited and put the trusty quad back in and its doing the same thing still. Phase LEDs would stay on and fans would just go on and off repeatedly. Well i put the i3 back on and its still doing the same thing. I cleared CMOS and everything. With the i3 i got it to post a few times but it would be using the backup bios which is F2. I need the F6 bios (which it has been running since the first i5 went down) to run the i3. I cannot get it back up at all.
Does anybody have any idea whats wrong? Ive tried clearing CMOS, switching RAM, trying one stick of RAM in each slot, different VGA, both CPUs.
Specs in over there <----
