ok sorry if this is no good here, this is just awesome and I had to brag about it 
I pre-ordered dead to rights 3. I pre-order a lot of games as when I have the cash, I get some things I'll want before it dries up
anyway, it's only the 3rd console game i've preordered, and through newegg. first 2 were FF13 and Hard Rain. they came within days. and it's actually a third party warehouse, newegg just gets the price and gives me an account
so, this time it was dead to rights, which came out last tuesday. So after I realized the game had been out a week I called and got a nice customer service lady. She said she would figure out the issue and get back, and I said I knew Newegg would handle everything and was not worried (I really love them, even more so now)
so that day (yesterday) she called back at 6 or so with no news, and said she'd get back to me today. Well today I get an email saying the order was backordered. then it says void. WTF egg!!
BUT, about an hour ago I get an email:
so, she got me a back ordered game for free. how awesome is that? the sales order shows the game price, minus $56 for "price adjustment"
so yeah, I just had to tell someone! I have always been a fan of newegg, rarely need customer support but when I do, BAM it's the best I could have ever hoped for. I have never heard of this happening.
Now as I said, I do have a business account through them and order a LOT of stuff, weekly. so one 50$ game was probably nothing to keep me happy, but it sure did keep me happy
