Thanks you big bully! Online Red Dead Redemption was a lot of fun last night. Just mindless go shoot people or run over them will be more than enough for me. I lol'd quite a few times.

I discovered that you can shoot your horse at full speed and roll a little bit down the street. Did it in front of my friends while I was blazing into Armadillo. There's so much going on with this game, it's unreal.

Also, I am trying to work on getting the $5000 Bounty challenge out of the way. I've only gotten up to $1500 because I run out of ammo too quickly. Coming off the roof to restock can be pretty bad for your health.

Great game. Worth $60 easily. Graphics are very good but what is awesome is how much detail, objects and random shit is going on at any given time with no loading zones and no fog. I mean you can literally see as far as your eyes can and all the detail is still there. No pop in graphics or world items when you move closer to them...everything that should be there is always there.

Audio is top notch and voice acting is fantastic! Story? Yup and it's good for a change.

This is an instant classic for sure!

From a guy that played the game on 65" I will say that there is pop in graphics and no fog but they use heat waves to do the same thing. The heat waves try to hide the lack of distance but don't really do that great of a job. It is still a great game but lets not pretend it is perfect and somehow breaks console limitations with magic.

yes it is on both accounts. i just played through red dead revolver after finishing redemption...and was not nearly as impressed with it as i was when if first went through it back in 2004. that should go without saying though...haha.

it's kind of awesome...i believe revolver came out before my birthday but in May of 2004...and redemption came out after my birthday of 2010.

is no pc, only xbox and ps3.

they are about the same. PS3 is a fraction smoother (as it has aa) - but it really is barely noticeable. I had to switch back and forth between the two for a minute before i noticed anything.

Not AA..... a cheap MSAA that works differently on each platform from what I have heard. Both versions are basically the same from what I have seen and heard from others. I haven't payed attention to its DLC's though.

Well they said there whole staff played it and for about 2 hours and no one had picked it up again. The first thing they asked me was if I liked GTA and truth is I don't really so they said I wouldn't like this game.

The people who work there generally aren't very in depth gamers, i would still take there comments with a grain of salt. As for the GTA thing, from the looks of it, if you disliked GTA because of the free roaming aspects, then yes i agree, you probably won't like Red Dead Redemption much. But the actual game from what i hear, is not like GTA. There are LOTS of aspects of the game that make it different from the GTA series.

I'm sorry you let 2 morons sway you away from a well thought out western. You said it yourself, you don't like GTA then I guess I agree that you shouldn't play this game. I would try and sway you in the right direction & I bet others here who have played it would agree that you're missing out.

This game only encompases the bare minimum mechanics of GTA...the story and how the actual game is played out is totally different.

yeah it really is crazy how entirely different it feels considering the hud and mechanics are so similar.

it in no way feels like GTA really. which actually turned out to be good! they did a great job with this game.

Well my game showed up today, been playing for 20min and I'm already ticked off. I like my camera to be up is up and down is down. Which ingame seems to be inverted (that makes no sense because thats not inverted). But the instant I get on my horse and aim a gun, down is up and up is down and the only way to change that is to make my camera control the opposite. So then my camera and gun controls are always opposite, just f's with my head and looks like there is no way to have them be the same, hope I'm wrong because it's gonna be hard for me to play like this.

For those of you who want the $5000 bounty thing, I found an easy way to boost it:

Go to Armadillo and stock up on all the ammo for your guns. (If you're just going for the achievement for your gamerscore, go ahead and save beforehand so you can spend your entire bank on ammo)

Go to the building across the road from the bar (it's at the corner of the town)

Climb on top of the building and wreak havoc! (remember to use "dead eye" for longer distance shots because it is almost always 100% accurate)

When you want the sheriffs off of your back (for more ammo or to pay off your bounty), Stand in the corner of the roof and crouch. There is a spot there where they can't see you and your bounty "meter" will go down.

Once the bounty meter is depleted, walk over to the train station and pay off your debt with a pardon! Bam, Easy achievement

Of course, you can do this the hard way by actually riding around towns on your horse and whatnot, but if you're ready to just get the achievement so you can be done with it, use my tutorial I'll be making a video soon and posting it on youtube
