I'm all for a new engine, I have not seen any hints about it, if they do have a new engine Im glad I got an i7 just in time. But i'm a little sad Black Mesa Source will be obsolete before it rolls out.

Man, a whole new Source engine will be epic, it is by far my favorite engine. More than 50% of the games I love are based on it. I am giddy with anticipation!

You're not the only one. I love Source. Source may be aging, but with the way that TF2 and L4D look, it's still awesome. Source 2 is probably going to make my head explode.

I've never finished any of the HL2 game, so I got some playing to do. Of course, in Valve time, Source 2 will be out in.....2020

"Time... Dr. Freeman?" Yes, I just finished playing through the complete series of HL2 last night. The end of EP. 2 makes me um.. emotional a bit. Has to be one of the saddest game endings ever.

I swear it's either EP3 or HL3. They've updated HL2's engines across the board and they're updating CS:S. I'd take EP3 over Portal 2 any day!

I just hope it has something to do with a new Half-Life. Finished all the games in the series and wanting more, so heres hope to some Half-Life awesomeness. :toast:

A new engine would be nice to debut along with it.

I don't want to talk about concluding HL! But I would like to see them merge more than they hinted initially in Portal.

I think it'll be a new engine. Half Life the first released, followed by Portal (cross over with HL) and and a new Counter Strike. And it shall be EPIC.

Anyone else think the G-Man is linked with Apreture Science? I certainly do. A result of portal technology and A.I. perhaps?

It's possible,he caused the destruction of Black Mesa.(the ''crystal'' that Gordon pushed in the reacter in the first Half-Life was from the G-Man), So i wouldn't be suprised if he's somehow working with Apeture Science or maybe even they created him.

I really hope to see how he came about.

as long as were speculating I feel like Portal 1 takes place a few years before Half Life 1 (Im sure most of you are like duh) So when HL3 brings us to the Borealis, where Black Mesa and Aperture tie in together, im sure we will then get more background on the nature of that crystal and gman.

One thing I really like about HL2 is the fact that the G-Man can be seen in the distance and walking away often.
