Can sata/ahci drivers be installed using a floppy during Win 7 install?
I know Vista allows this.But someone on another forum said its different with Windows 7!

In Vista, you no longer need the RAID drivers because the install supports them. I'd be surprised if Win 7 is different.

No you do not need them at all . SATA RAID0 here .

Let me ask you this,
I plan on installing Win 7 onto an Intel SSD,Intel states that its RST 9.6 Trim drivers are to be installed before windows O.S. installs.

My mistake,
I just reread the guide and the 9.6 drivers install after the O.S. install!

There are also drivers for the Intel chip that is prolly on the board as well. Anyway, from your other post it seems you are sorted. :toast:

Remember to make sure you have your BIOS set to RAID/AHCI before starting the install.
