i have done everything and now i read that its the case that the game just runs crappy at FERMI cards... but why is the sound so crappy then?

Hmm. Try disabling your onboard sound in the device manager and test the game without sound to see if performance changes. I can remember Race Driver GRID giving me a bunch of headaches due to sound.

I just thought of this. Try setting up an application profile in nVidia control panel and force AA and vsync off.

still no fix. but the strange thing is that when in menu the gpu-usage is round 75% but while racing it drops to round 55% thats probably the issue

Buy an ATi card maybe jks bro, hmmm you told me about this annoying issue, everyones already suggested the things that I would have said to do I will look around for you bro and see if i can find anything

My Brother has a very capable machine similar to yours with a XFX GTX280, 8GBRAM, Some i78xx and the game has constant microstutters too.

While it runs fine on my old system.

He tried turning off Hyper threading because that worked for Split/Second Velocity but didn't work for Blur.

I'd say Blur is just one of those ports which work fine with certain systems regardless of spec.

Here is the fix:
Open Task Manager, right click on "Blur.exe" and set priority to "Real Time" and it should play now without single stutter... I think it is game bug.

Ive been experiencing the same stutter in blur game,

phenom 9650
3 gig ram
xfx hd4870
win 7 32bit
psu corsair 550

occassionally grahics stutter for a second and the sound goes choppy and distorted, hardly noticable but is noticable if you know what i mean.

Just got a new psu as i thought it might be down to the crappy one i was using, but its still there in this game.

it jus ups memory priority for the process. This shouldnt fix anything unless ur experiencing a shortage in ram (ala if u only have 2gb or something)


this jus sounds liek a crappy game/port conflicting with ur setup. Problly unfixable imo.

By setting the game.exe to use realtime processor priority you give the game all of the processors computing time which leaves nothing left over for the likes of background processes

hmm weird afterburner says that the gpu usage while racing is only round 45% what about that?

while at playing heavier games (just cause 2, crysis) its always 99 % or something while gaming, even at WaW its 99% what about this?

It depends on how a game was programmed. Shader heavy games will spike gpu usage.. there is also vsync to take account on the gpu usage as well

Do you have the chipset virtualization enabled in the bios? I've seen some every once in a while comment about turning it on fixes stuttering in games. Though usually that is with mutli gpu setups but still worth a try if you have it disabled.
