Ive been considering getting a water cooling setup and spent most of today looking up parts. While looking up radiators I started wondering if someone could modify a mini freezer (mini fridge wouldn't be able to do it) to hold a radiator.

I'm not the most knowledgeable on water cooling or freezers so I was wondering what you guys think?

I think the issue with a mini fridge/freezer is the lack of power to cool a constantly heated source. They are designed to gradually lower an objects temperature, not really to rid itself of something pushing 60*C heat into it all the time. I think you will find that eventually the cooling will even out and not be worth all the effort.

I've built a couple kegerators so I'm familiar with drilling holes in fridges/freezers. I don't know that much about water cooling though.

You can use a spade drill bit to drill through a fridge/freezer in a place where there is only insulation (like the door) then put what you need through the hole and seal it with silicone or Great Stuff. The more and larger the holes you drill the worse the efficiency of the freezer.

I would think if you're willing to use a fridge to cool your water why not go phase change or use a peltier?
