Id like to think the forums are fairly balanced - alot of people that dedicated F@H rigs kit it up with Nvidia cards because they are better at F@H then ATi cards. but outside of programs like F@H & WCG theres everything to play for. and a lot of people just go for the most bang for buck card at that moment in time which could be either brand. but saying that fan boys will be fan boys.

I believe the 5870 beat it ;)

I have been on many forums where they are only Nvidia fanboys and they would trash talk you if you liked ATI cards at all :/

Posting disinformation like you did in your 1st post and then making no attempt to fix it....even after you were clearly informed of your bias mistake........that might be why some folks may take issue with You on some sites...post accurate info and acknowledge it when your shown to be wrong is usually a good way to run. :slap:

And to clarify...this is a predominant ATI website...Wizz is the creator of the ATI Tool app and a few others as well.

Top Shelf place though. :toast:

I have noticed fanboyism has been at an all time low lately on tpu, and i like it.

that being said I'd go with the gtx460 768mb sli as bta recomended. good price/performance while offering good features and comign in at a lower cost.

I was thinking the same thing, just about since the ATi 5000 series when the ATi fans got a break the fanboyism died a quite a bit.

in many respects it's still prevalent, with people cherry picking things to aid their argument, like ATi has the fastest single card, while Nvidia has the fastest single GPU blah blah blah, but the fact of the matter is, both companies are very competitive right now and you pretty much can't go wrong with any of their mainstream -> high end cards.

I've heard some say ATi beats nVidia in AvP. That's true with no AA or 2xAA, and if you run 4xAA, that changes.

IMO one of the best deals out is getting a GTX 460 1Gb and manually overclocking it. GTX 460 1Gb SLi would also be darn good. The 470 or 470 SLi would be good if you could find them for a decent price. nVidia also seem to scale a lot better with running 3x LCDs in surround with two GPUs.
