memory over voltage it is, just don't know which setting would be right. What is the ram running now, 1.8v?
You should be able to check in the BIOS monitoring section.

Apparently its always going from 1.8v the over voltage is added to that 1000mV = 1V
try 31.25mV, 1.8V + 31mV = 2.11V

well, it was worth try.

now i have to deal with the CMOS reset.

it unganged my ram and CnC is making my CPU go from 800 to 3000 and back again. Never saw that before. (was always at 3000)

When you cleared the CMOS the BIOS enables Cool N Quiet feature by default. It is a good thing.

after installing PC Probe off the mobo disk, I noticed that the mobo is getting quite hot (45 cel) [my cpu is actually cooler]. Considering how hot my ram is, I think im going to look into another fan or 2 on this case (it only has 2 atm) before I try upvolting the ram from 1.8, its getting blazing hot as is. And maybe a few more fans for the new box I'm going to be putting the ASUS Crosshair 4 im getting later this week...

Uh, 1.8V + 31mV = 1.831V ;)

Sounds like NeilSmith needs more than that. More fans are always good as long as the noise doesn't get too bad, though 45C isn't very hot for a chip; probably only ~20C over ambient.

Thats the funny part, the mother boards heat censor is hotter then my CPUs. My CPU has a direct intake from the outside funneled right into it, I never thought the mobo generated that much ambient heat.

that's not that hot, but if you can get some more air flowing across it even better.
