I have no idea but i think it will be.I would like to try it out atleast for stunning graphics.But hope it will be free of critical bugs on release date.

Someone told me that this game will rip the new WoW expansion into shreds when this FF game released..... I'm like are you dumb? Even if you're someone who hates WoW with a passion, it will always smash any MMO out there. At least until they stop making expansions for it. And this FF game did not look amazingly appealing to the MMO audience.

i have been playing the open beta and now the released game and it is nice. it is a bit like ff11, but the graphics and cut scenes are very good. i havent grouped yet, im still just wandering around as a conjorer, killing mobs with spells, and doing the guildleves. i think its fun stuff, but each to thier own. ive tried most of the mmo's in the last few years, and this is a much harder game. no question marks over heads, no explanation points over heads. i have to accually talk to npc's to find out the lore and quests, so its a bit harder, but a lot of fun nontheless. the game runs quite well on my machine and except for the slight lag opening menus it is working nicely for me. with approx 6-7 hours of game time in i have had 1 crash to desktop, so it seems most of the bigs have been ironed out. i am on melmond server " Lillybre Wyldechylde".

its a pretty solid game. but all MMOs are too time consuming for me. WOW may have a bigger 'fun factor,' and is much more polished, but FFXIV definitely gets points for being an alternative and 'not another wow clone.' It definitely has its own personality and playstyle, which is more than can be said for 90% of the other MMOs out there.

I informed squere-enix that i want downloadable version of game and buyable cd key in enix online store.Like ncsoft got.hope they will do something about it.Or i will have to stay away from game

one fast question.If anyone here got active account.can you download game from your account?in case if you lost dvd?or you need to buy new one.And i wondering why isnt game still on torrents.why is noone making image of game disk and puting it to public?Is this because hacers dont know hw to make private server for ff14 or because theres no way to buy digital key online without buying dvd?

I am weighing in heavily as to whether or not I want to buy the game yet, or invest time into it.

Who is currently playing it? (FYI for those in the european regions, the game released the 22nd)

Also, has anyone played this with a crossfire setup? I have 2x5750s that have maxed out every cfx enabled game thus far.

3870x2, try to get a friend code if you can. Opinions on this game are like assholes ... it's best to have one of yourself.

I'm playing atm, have been since the 22nd. I'm also playing it on a machine that has 2 3870's in crossfire. You have to play in fullscreen mode for it to work, which means no alt-tabbing, but it runs like a charm as long as I don't turn on Ambient Occlusion.

I've been playing it since the 22 (got collectors) i find it a great game can be challenging at times even with lots of people in your party unlike other games.

I have your answers though:

I have not heard of any digital download. While SE offers games up to steam usually, this does not seem to hold true for FFXIV.

As for bugs, the graphics, they are beautiful, but poorly optimized. Many users relieve their issues by turning off ambient occlusion.

From what I have heard, the average rate of CTD (Crash to Desktop) are ~6hrs of playtime. I have not seen anything substantial on freezing up, or anything of the like.
