.7 works for older drivers and especially 32 bit. Normally, with x64 systems and newer drivers, .8 works better. Does not mean that for all chipsets that will be the case. Whatever works for your chipset, works! Don't bitch about free sli capability?

I'm upset the .9 doesn't work with xp64, but that's just the way it is. So I just keep using .8 for now!

i hate having to hard reset my computer before it starts dumping a memory dump to my hd.

anyhow i stand by my original Q

i currently have 260.63 installed with no slimod or sli patch (I THINK)
i am not in sli and i do have 1 dedicated PhysX card currently.

since 0.7 worked before is that what i should try with the newer 260.63 and the b3 or should i do the 0.9?

maybe you can explain why 0.7 works for me and 0.8 did not.

i can explain. you do something wrong. how can you explain that two patches with same kernel (except for 0.8 where check io ranges did good), same hals, and same loaders differents while working?

I'll have to check again, but it generates the same error with both .9 and the 1.1 patches on XP64. It's a system critical error. I'll write it down.

I'm ecstatic to report that 0.9 seems to be working for me! I've finally got that new PSU yesterday so I could test it with 3dmark Vantage. Drivers are 258.96, Asus P5Q Deluxe and 2x Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB SLI. I scored over 25000 points so SLI is working! And this score is without SLI bridge which will arrive later this week. I'll test some proper games today for stability (HL2, Mass Effect 2) and report later. THANKS!!!

I'm more inclined to think of those from the crappy 9800's, they're the ECO versions w/o power connectors and such, and a terrible heat sink, but I played mafia 2 for a few hours last night before running furmark overnight and it way playing well @ 1920x1080.

These cards are only stopgaps till I get dual MSI 460 HAWK cards.

maybe you can explain why 0.7 works for me and 0.8 did not.

if this version works for you your done here, bye

i had problems with your 0.8b on my system before (i think i updated my system specs so check it out) i had to use the 0.7 one. (im talking like 6months ago).

the other day i tried the newer B3 with the 260.63 and system wouldnt work
got blue screens when playing game or even just surfing or doing nothing after about 2-4mins like some of the other ppl

i was thinking about trying the 0.9 with the 260.63 in a bit but i think the 0.8b and the b3 and i bet the 0.9 dont work because what your doing to the bootloader.

is it possible 0.7 might work with 260.63 as it used to work for i think it was 258.49 (was the highest i could go at least) with a modded .inf

anyhow i think some people might be having problems with the 0.8 and 0.9 because they might be running a pirated version of windows where they slic mod the bootloader already.

could your 0.8 and 0.9 be modding the already modded bootloader and messing something up?

do you know what i mean?

and no one in here accuse me of a pirate im just sayn :banghead:

ok so mainly what im asking is
what does 0.7 do different then 0.8 and 0.9?
explain what is does to bootloader please

why should he have to explain anything, if you dont know what hes doing, then you wont understand what he would say

your arrogance overwhelms your posts, and i suspect you are around 12, and soesnt have a clue about anything, sittin there with your boot loader v1.9 from Daz for your cracked win 7 instal.

and to answer your stupid question NO it does not interfere with the cracked boot loader for win 7.

your now on my ignore list, have a nice life ;)

why does this guy keep trolling me?

who are you to say what i can ask?
it sounds to me like you are just a simple troll.

i ask you please do not quote me and please do not talk to me.

i will talk or ask the dev what i want as long as it is with in reason.

there are differences between 0.7, 0.8 and 0.9

people have been reporting all along of having troubles with specific versions.

i can and i will ask what the differences are between them anytime i feel like it.

now go away troll!!!

to the dev.

i have installed the SLIPatch_v0.9_beta
then installed 260.63_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_international_beta
then installed the ForceWare x64 SLI Patch v1.1

i shutdown computer between every step i just mentioned above.

it appears all is working great.....
now i only played bfbc2 for about 20mins but previously i got my BSOD before that
but it does appear to be working so far.

thanks to the dev for the great work
i do appreciate it as many others do to.

i would like to mention one thing i have found out. (it might already be known)

but in a previous post someone mentioned getting that banner on each corner of the desktop that says "Test Mode"
there was some instructions awhile back that said do this cmd
bcdedit /set testsigning off
that command does turn the banner off but it also disabled the nvidia control panel for me.

so i had to set it back with
bcdedit /set testsigning on
but then i get the banner back and nvcp does come back...

where is the .9 patch version? I went to the site and it only has the .8 there that I see...http://xdevs.com/e107_plugins/content/content.php?content.30 at least at the site that's all I see or is there a new place these drivers/patches are being posted? I still am trying to get my two 8800gts's to play nice on my tpower and the .8 kinda sorta worked but caused blue screens and restarts and other issues after x amount of time gaming and also lagged after a while so didn't work properly but I'd like to keep trying if there is a new patch available.

working sli so far

Hello,

Just got SLI working really well even in video surround mode. Have been BFBC2 for about the last three hours with no problems on all three displays. Have a fourth display that I use for normal computing tasks just have been turning SLI off after I'm done with any gaming. SO I've been going back and forth between SLI-mode and non-SLI mode via the nVidia control panel with no problems.

Setup:

Windows 7 x64 build 7600 all current updates
2x MSI GTX470 (258.96 drivers, forceware mod 1.1 and slipatch .9b)
MSI 790FX-GD70 crossfire mobo :)
AMD Phenom II 1055T x6 (2.8, very nice, cool and stable OC to 3.4ghz)
4x 4GB G.Skillz Ripjaws DDR3 1600 RAM
Cooler Master V8 heatsink
Corsair 1000W power supply
Pinnacle PCI Video capture card firewire and analog video
M-Audio ASIO 24bit/192kHz Firewire Audio Interface (for Pro Tools)
4x 1TB WD RE3 in a RAID 10 array (2TB usable), 2x 1TB WD RE3 in a RAID 0 array (2 TB usable)
Cooler Master HAF Full Tower Case

I use this monster for CS5 suite video editing and video compositing and gaming in my downtime between projects. Ghosted my system drives so I could toy with SLIpatch for a quick re-install but havn't had to use the image yet. So far it is working like a champ so you can add a working mobo to the list. I'll report back any problems if any arise.

Thank you guys for all your hard work to get this patch up and running, you should put a paypal donate button on your site as I would donate and I am sure others would as well to the cause to keep further developments of this patch in motion.:rockout:
