Razer, the world's leading high-end precision gaming and lifestyle peripherals brand, today announced the launch of an elite wireless MMO gaming mouse that's an upgrade from the original award-winning and best-selling Get Imba mouse - the Razer Naga Epic. Designed by the highly-acclaimed Razer R&D labs, the Razer Naga Epic epitomizes that fine balance between keyboard and mouse with 17 MMO-optimized buttons, and takes it to a whole new level with three ergonomic interchangeable side panels for optimal fit, the choice to customize the backglow from over 16 million colors, and a dual mode wired/wireless functionality. Gamers can now enjoy a MMO gaming mouse with no strings attached - literally.

"With the Naga Epic, Razer gives MMO gamers around the world more freedom than ever before," said Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, President, Razer. "We combined the MMO gaming capabilities of the original best-selling Razer Naga and took it to the next level by giving it a true gaming-grade wireless option utilizing the same technology that we developed for the ultra high-end Razer Mamba."

The final design of the Razer Naga Epic, from optimal button configuration to its form factor, was achieved through the scientific testing and screening of more than 80 different model iterations by Razer's ergonomics team.

"Every aspect of the Razer Naga Epic's design, from its ergonomic form factor to button sizes, placement and angles was rigorously tested both internally in our R&D labs in San Francisco and Singapore, and with seasoned pro-gamers," said Min-Liang Tan, CEO and Creative Director, Razer. "The Naga Epic is also one of the most comfortable mice we've ever designed, with 3 interchangeable side panels that ensure an ideal fit for various hand sizes and grip styles."

The end result is a mouse that not only provides a personalized level of comfort, but with its dual wired/wireless functionality and unique MMO-optimized multi-button thumb grid also lets gamers fully immerse in their favourite MMO games knowing they have the full range of character abilities at their fingertips.

This high-end MMO gaming mouse is an advanced version of the original and award-winning Razer Naga, combining wireless functionality, ergonomic form factor, a customizable backlight glow, and 17 MMO-optimized buttons, making it truly epic.

The Razer Naga Epic MMO gaming mouse allows gamers to easily organize their character abilities for any game by enabling them to fully remap and assign programmed macros to all 17 buttons. With three interchangeable side panels for optimal fit designed for various hand sizes and grip styles, the Razer Naga Epic allows gamers to quest, raid, or PVP in comfort for hours on end. The true gaming-grade wireless connection on the epic mouse also allows gamers a greater variety of movement without any sacrifice of mouse control or accuracy, with zero downtime as the mouse charges while in wired mode.

Looks good! but could we not get an led read out for the calculator on the side of it?....j/k lol I like the replacable battery.

EDIT: I think they should have each button on the side a different shape so the user can tell what button they are pushing with out looking for it imo.

Finally! Got the side panel's too! I am unsure of how the response time would be with the button spam, but it is probably good enough.

I also love the option to have it wired. Very nice design by Razer. I have the other mouse that is able to do this (wireless and wired) and I like it very much.

Pointless, what's the point of all those buttons if you can't tell which is which.

It's a shame that none of the side grips seems to actually give you a comfortable pinkie rest though...

$130 Holly Cow.... Sorry not worth it as every Razer mouse i have had the buttons have warn out which leads to double click and no click at all. Was the reason i dumped my DB so soon as it was no were near as good as the original which got the same issue but lasted a lot longer.

I have the Lachesis now and they not even get the buttons work on that right still.. So what would have me buy that mouse for twice as much of them if they cannot fix whats wrong with what they sell now.

you must be real hard on your mouse ive put at least 1000 hrs of gaming use on my Death Adder and who knows how much desktop/browsing use and i have yet to have any issues with the buttons or anything else for that matter.

A lot of ppl complain about Razer's quality yet from my experiences they out perform and out last just about everything out there, meh i must have gotten the golden egg of Razer products from my local BB

Any way i hope they come out with a new version of the mamba that can change colors like this one, i hate the fact that Razer makes all there stuff blue by default id rather it be green like there logo

i own the wired verison its more comfortable to grip than other razer mice and this mouse is for MMO gamers who utilize 1-0 alt/ctrl/shift...though it does allow for quick weapon selection in FPSs. would never buy a wireless version of this mouse...never.

DA mouse was even worse i thought but i guess it could be just a bad one that i got were the side buttons sucked. That went back ASAP due to side button sticking and being hard to press.

IKt sure is interesting, I wonder how easy it is to use all those thumb keys over mice like the WoW one where it adds hotkeys it other places rather than relying on your thumb so much.

I was planning to but the razer naga, but i wasnt sure if i could live with the hassles of a wired mouse coming from a mx1100.
The reason i decided to get the naga was because the buttons of the mx1100 proved insufficient for WOW. The other option was the logitech g7, but i was hesitant on this one because i know how shity the set point software is.

In my mind, the bes mouse would be a combination of the performant wireless radio of the mamba, and the layout of the naga.

It seems that razer engineers read my mind:
Razer Naga + Razer Mamba = Razer Naga Epic.

Only downside is that i have to wait for it another month.
