SteelSeries and GUNNAR Optics Release New SteelSeries Scope Pro Gaming Eyewear

The new line of co-branded pro gaming glasses powered by GUNNAR i-AMP lens technology is designed to improve visual efficiency, endurance, and recovery during gaming sessions. Expanding upon GUNNAR's line of advanced gaming eyewear, SteelSeries collaborated with the company to customize a design with a larger, extended lens and a lightweight, comfortable frame. Edit : From the sounds of it these "coating" they use it should be on every Rx lens made.

I'm stuck in front of the monitor for multiple hours at a time at work and don't really see a need for these. Of course I'm not as immersed in the display as a gamer might be but if I play my cards right maybe I can get the company to get me a pair

I don't really feel there is a need for these unless they were polarised for 3d, at times i can spend a good 14+ hours gaming with only toilet breaks and i have never had any of the problems it lists as fixing.

If they really do work id just use them at work and home. I stare at a computer atleast a minimum of 12 hours a day.

My house is always dusty - in every 2 days from cleaning. All my glasses eye ware are dusty all the time. Excuse me this eyeware is anti-dust??

if you don't have eye problems do not wear glasses. if you have eye problems go see a eye doctor to get them checked out.

I have a pair of glasses with similar properties but without the stupid tint and they really do work. Some months ago my eyes started to really hurt and get red after just 1 or 2 hrs in front of the pc. I went to the doctors and he suggested some eye drops a pair of glasses for pc work and a sticky note on my monitor saying "Don't forget to blink!"
I got a cheap noname brand for about 35$ that look like a normal pair of glasses except that when you look at them at an angle you can see a funky rainbow tint.

Many years ago I used what appears to be the same thing when working on CAD. The screens were CRT and the contrast set so high that viewing the screens without glasses was difficult. With the glasses on however, the view was superb and very easy on the eyes.

I'm unsure of the advantages with LCD and also suspect a reasonable pair of sunglasses might achieve a similar result. As for gaming, maybe these glasses do work but I suspect the screen will also play a role.

I cannot imply enough how stupid it is to have a colour tint on your glasses when you're working on your PC be it a CAD software, photo manipulation or gaming. If you're getting a glare you can use blinds, curtains or move your pc somewhere else. a tint means that your colour perception gets screwed sideways.
