Most Comfortable 5.1ch Headset

Hey guys,

I need to buy some new Headphones, since playing with my Razer Barracuda's is becoming unbearable after just an hour.

What i'm looking for is a Headset that boasts at least 5.1ch audio & more comfortable than my current Headset after long gaming sessions.
I have pretty much no budget, but might have trouble importing Sennheisers...

Any recommendations? So far i'm considering either the Logitech G35 or Razer Megalodon.

Please post any suggestions.

If you wear specs, do not get the G35. It clamps your head pretty tightly.

Are you dead set of 5.1? I had a pair of 5.1 headphones and I have to say 5.1 in headphones is worthless. Get a good pair of 2.1's. You will be able to tell where the sound is coming from much better.

if you have a large budget then go with the astro gaming a40 headset. very comfy!

Are you open to getting a mic and a good pair of cans? I think that setup is better as you get a wider range of choices. Only disadvantage is more hassle, but that's it.

I am open to getting a Headset without mic, won't be using the mic much anyways

I second the fact that a good pair of 2:1 headphones is much better than so called gaming headsets.

For ultra comfort, look for an "open" set of cans, for more base (and sweat) closed are good. My new ATH AD700s are light as a feather and have a huge soundstage. I've been bragging a lot lately.
