I don't know if this will help any of you but I was playing with Beta 2 and checked the voltage option within settings. When I tried with my 5870 I still couldn't adjust the voltage setting. Looking in the MSIAfterBurner.cfg file I changed both UnlockVoltageControl and UnlockVoltageMonitoring from 0 to 1. Now I'm back to changing voltage:

I had to do the same for my 4870, unfortunately no joy with doing it for the 6870 :(

I gave it a try and it had no effect :( i know i should be happy with 975mhz on stock volts but i can't help myself, i always want more :D

I was hoping that if the 6850 has the same voltage regulation hardware it could be that simple :( oh well, i hope some company comes out with something that works, I'm just unhappy with sapphire for tricking me into thinking i had trixx included with my cards

The quote earlier in the thread from Unwinder suggests that the ONLY reason that afterburner does not support the 6870 at this time is because Unwinder did not physically have the card to "play" with it at the time, he has one on the way so it could simply be a matter of days before an updated version of AB arrives.

I'm happy to wait a little while for that but I'm still unimpressed with sapphire due to the trixx utility stickers on my 6870's boxes yet nothing on the cd or web site (says coming soon) yet reviewers were sent a copy of it, i know they were probably beta versions but still i want what my box tells me i should have

TBH..... I would be very unimpressed also, if it says it on the box, in the UK they would have breached the "Trade descriptions Act" and could be sued.

Unfortunately after posing i read the sticker it only says "trixx, sapphire tweak utility, tweak and overclock utility for sapphire graphics cards" nothing about it being included :(

Afterburner 2.1.0 beta 3 released. Now it supports 6870. Voltage adjustments are limited to 1.28v while trixx allows 1.3v

Maybe it can be unlocked but there is no option in MSIafterburner.cfg
