eyefinity 6870

hi guys.

so i have an his 6870 with 3 samsung bx2440 displays. but i cant make them work together.

will only work 2 extended. or 2 duplicated.

i have them connected 2 direcly dvi and one mini display port to dvi.

i tried hdmi and two dvis but nothing.

any help?

Do you know how to setup eyefinity? You must first disable all displays but one, then right click and choose 'create display group'.

Tell us more about what you've tried, because at the moment it only sounds like you've plugged the card in.

Not gone into catalyst control centre and tried turning eyefinity on.

i disabled them all and the configuration has only to setup 2 displays. but if u choose different combinations u can see that all displays work.

panther i tried extend them. i tried duplicate them. everything. and nothing happening.

the create group has only to setup 2 displays

it doesn't say "eyefinity on".
->under "desktops and displays" you right click and then select "Create group"

edit: i see, mini dp. don't know, never tried. but above is still how you enable eyefinity.

not 3 displays.

if u try different combinations u can see that all 3 monitors work

it sounds like your DP adapter isn't working to me... was it included or recommended/guaranteed to work?

yeah you can clearly see it there, it just can't activate all 3 at the same time... it's gotta be to do with the DP imo

yeah what i was saying before - it will show it's there but won't work in eyefinity without an active adapter.
it's something technical and crappy, but it simply can't output that much on a passive connector.

i just read though that there should be eyefinity adapters for around $30 now, whereas early adopters had to get dell or another brand for $100

Yup and the dvi ones are expensive that´s something Ati doesn´t tell
