Eh, I'd rock that tv, plasma has nice color, and the brand, the price, and the combo deal, with 3D, thats a very sweet deal.

You wear some battery powered glasses and the tv makes a 3D image "pop out" of the screen. It's pretty cool when done right I've got a sammy ln46c750 and super stardust on the ps3 looks AWESOME in 3d, but black ops in 3d looks terrible so it's still quite new and needs some work.

3d gaming/video requires a display capable of outputting at 120hz (60hz times 2)

a regular display goes to 60hz max, a 3d-ready display can go twice that, so it displays the image twice but slightly offset. the glasses align those offset images to create a 3d effect.

If you have the RCA model I'm thinking of it is simply an interpolating 240hz model that is limited to a 60hz input and not 3D ready. It is simply designed to make images look smoother by generating more frames from any input as high as 60 fps.

600hz refers to the subfield drive of Plasma tech in general and has no relationship to 3D capability. A 3D ready Plasma can accept 120hz inputs where as non 3D ready are generally 60hz inputs regardless of the model. Some do 48hz or 72hz for movie playback. A plasma is divided into 10 60hz fields so the 600hz mumbo jumbo is not that big a deal. Its just how Plasma puts the image on the screen. A 600hz Plasma does not have a higher refresh rate than a 60hz LCD. It is just naturally much more responsive to motion not related to the actual screen refresh rate.
