MSI, the global leading brand in motherboard, announces the latest mini-ITX motherboard, IM-PV-C, to IPC market. IM-PV-C is designed the latest Intel Atom processors N455/ N475/ D425/ D525 and the Intel ICH8M chipset which is an ideal low power and high performance solution for industrial applications.

MSI IM-PV-C comes to meet the requirements of a low power platform, especially in power input design. MSI IM-PV-C supports ATX and wide range DC 12V ~ 24V inputs as the different BOM option. For supporting high resolution video, MSI debuts IM-PV-C with great 3D graphics performance for a high definition up to 1080P videos.

With two DDR3 800 MHz So-DIMM sockets, IM-PV-N with Intel Atom processors D425/ D525 can support up to 4GB system memory and IM-PV-N with Intel Atom processors N455 / N475 can support up to 2GB system memory. For the storage application, it supports 3 SATAII ports. Onboard I/O advantages include 5 COM ports, 8 USB 2.0 ports, and multiple video output (DVI, VGA and LVDS) for dual independent display. Networking is provided by one Intel 82574L GbE LAN and one Intel 82567V GbE LAN. Moreover, it features one compact flash slot, one PCI and one mini-PCIe slot for easy expansion. It also supports onboard watchdog timer for added system redundancy and security.

LOL@'High performance' its 'high performance' in terms of netbook/nettop standard. (better then a certain manufacturers efforts that was listed on the front page not long ago)

the D-series Atom processors look really good on paper. DDR3 Controller, ability to see 4Gb Ram = Epic Win.

D series might not break any crunching or speed records but Its what Netbook processor SHOULD be.

I look forward to seeing some more info

Typical PR, I don't see why you need to really make a comment on it...

That tall cooler kind of would make it a dilemma for this to be installed in anything 1U height.

Completely Bonkers

Good spot on the cooler. I also dont like an ethernet RJ45 stuck on top of USB. Makes the USB inaccessible... why didnt they double the RJ45 port. Would make for neater cabling too.

Or are those eSATAs? If so, why no mention? LOL

I dont like the upright SODIMMs, for 1UE reasons again. Nor do I like the location of the (just 3) SATAs.

i prefer this x or this x
