Hyper 212+ best heatsink sub $30. I've been using mine on my 920, 940, and now 970. Temps were high when heavily overclocked(920/940) but that was with 1.45V and tons of cpu pll.

The fan on the Hyper is a nice 2000rpm pwm fan, do you know what the DK comes with?

2200 RPM fan is all I know bout it, i can get either or but i do want to OC soon, so 212+ all the way?

hey filipM i c u use MX2 how long did u wait for it to settle? for some reason when i upgraded mobo my CPU got really hot, (had to change out paste and all that stuff..)

and how do u apply it?

The Hyper 212+ is labeled the best "cheap" tower cooler for a reason. :D

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Dark Knight uses a clip to attach onto the stock AMD bracket...it's probably good enough but I would be kinda worried about proper tension, easy of installation and security. The 212 uses it's own bracket and can mount in either direction (I think).

So I'd go with the 212...it's still a value that's hard to top. Only thing that comes close is the Cogage True Spirit which you can get with an AMD mount for $40 @ SVC. Given how sensitive AMD chips are to heat it's worth considering.

the xiggy is a better cooler i have both and it cools better the 212+ has 4 very small heatpipes which get maxed out very easily at stock it is fine with a 140w 965BE however it wont oc to 3.8ghz stable something that the xiggy has no problem with

DK is the better of the two esp w/ the DK being $25 after MIR. I used my old DK on a Q6600, Q9300, Q9550, i7, and AII X4 with excellent results. On top of that, it looks better and, in my opinion, the fan is superior.
