Since my other thread didn't get any feed back. I've decided to flash the HD5750 with a newer bios as some people in the AMD forums have said that it has done the trick for them.

Now the thing is i'm a noob. :p I have no idea about flashing the card and putting a new bios.
And the main problem is that the card crashes in about 10mins. So can it be done? And can I use the onboard graphics to do the flashing while the card is connected to the PCI-E slot?

I'll be very grateful for some quick replies. :)

I tried it like a hundred times because the card crashes in a minute or two. At one point i was using the onboard graphics and it detected the card. When i put -p 0 bios.rom, it said Flash programmed or something. And i just let it be like that for a minute and then the card crashed. Am i doing it wrong?

Certainly sounds like you're doing it right.

Hmmm... This could have me stumped and/or it isn't a BIOS problem.

Did you check the card for bad caps? It sounds like a bad cap.

I shall check for bad caps. Also what am i supposed to do when it says "ROM programmed" or something?

Good question. My guess would be, sit back and relax.

The BIOS chip is actually a ROM (read-only memory), so when it says "ROM programmed" it's just telling you that it has programmed the chip.

I think it said Rom or flash programmed. I'll check again.
And thing is the card crashes in a minute. Sometimes in seconds. The Fan boosts up to maximum speed and the display goes off if i'm using the card. And this small red LED on the card lights up. Some people on the AMD forum had said that flashing the bios helped them fix it. So i'm trying to do it but it keeps crashing on me. :/
