For 20$ on ebay from hong kong i can get a brand new (shipping included) with big ass passive heatsink GeForce mx400 64megs pci. Is it worthy at that price? For an old Celeron rig with onboard graphic.

I'm able to play some games with the onboard already but it loads the cpu. This computer will be sold after for small home business or kids computer.

In that case it's only worth it if you can make back the $20.
If whoever buys the computer wants to put a better graphics card in it, that's their money to spend.

20 bucks is expensive for a 2nd hand GF2 MX400. Man, I recently took one (an AGP x4 version) out of my dad's former pc of 9 years old. It is a card from 2001.

I think it's worth it as it's PCI. PCI cards are always good to have.

You can run Call of Duty on it.

EDIT: Oh wait, Geforce 2 it was. No CoD then, but it could still be worth it. I would get it, but I almost need a PCI card from time to time.

Does not matter. 6800LE was made in AGP and PCI-E version. No difference in performance.
For PCI card, just to have for bad BIOS flash, I'm using old S3 Trio with outstanding 1MB VRAM.

Those Chinese ones aren't all that great. I bought a 128MB one that was supposed to be super OC'ed from factory, the one I got was clocked lower than my existing MX400.

Anyway, the only good MX400 is a DDR MX400, and those are pretty rare. I'm lucky, I got one in my old eMachines back in 2001.

Because it's still made and sold in China even if for picky north americans its useless. They are still producing it there and selling it. Not all chinese can afford high priced video cards like us. Especially since they can sell it easily in China there are so much people there.

It's a budget DirectX 7 card. No shaders and not many cores. It was good for it's day but not all that great now. Get yourself an FX5200 or something, at least it's DX9.

I heard FX5200 won't even do Aero-Glass acceleration.

Radeon 9600 or something, now those should be dirt-cheap and about 5x faster and more useful than a GF2MX.

6200 much faster and dx 9 with shader 3.0 not that it's powerful enough to handle much.

the fastest pci card I could find was this

there's also a diamond version, trouble is the cheapest I could find was 65$ they apparently know it's the fastest pci video card.
