A couple of channels off Youtube with quite a few fan noise, airflow, and voltage/rpm videos.

First is Martinm210 who also did the 30 120mm fan roundup on Madshrimps about 2 years ago. In the last 4 months he has added quite a few more to his channel.

Cooling Technique is a channel that links to a Italian site of the same name. Google translate is somehow built in to the site so just choose the language from the drop down menu.

I don't know if anyone has any others they know of but I thought I'd throw this up here just in case since I'm always wanting to know how a fan sounds before I buy one.

Three videos I find interesting: Gentle Typhoon without adapter and Gentle Typhoon with 140mm adapter. Notice the change in airflow through the radiator.
140mm Aerocool Shark check the rpm/airflow at 12v and compare to the others in the same round.

low noise is better, if its kinda loud personally i dont mind just thinking its like old chevy with brand new v8 engine + supercharger + turbo + NOS
But if it could, little noise is better anyway :toast:

Do like me. Take all fans the same design and cut the wires to re-route them on the 5v line. You get less noise, less rpm but it gives you the chance to buy cheaper ones that are normally noisy with high cfm and make them turn slowly to still get a lot of cfm. Cooler Master stock fans in exemple or the 80mm and 90mm HSF you get from Antec dead PSU. Personnaly I have a stock CM 120mm fan that is silent just enough on the 12v mobo pins and 3X 80mm Antec from old psu's that I modded to plug on the 5v line. You barely hear them and the cfm i still good.

EDIT: Antec fan code I was talking about: 80mm = DF1208SH and 90mm = DF1209SH

Size: 92x92x25.4mm
Bearing System: Sleeve Bearing
Rated Voltage: 12V
Input Current: 0.37A
Input Power: 4.44W
Speed: 2900 +/- 10% RPM
Air Flow: 51.78 CFM
Static Pressure: 3.81 mm-H2O
Noise Level: 35.24 dBA

Drop the voltage to 5V and you still get half the noise with near 24cfm.

Noise is not really a problem. I am thinking of buying Coolermaster Excalibur which sounds like plane at take off. you can listen to it in mastdrvers link "Cooling technique" it is nice sound. I like it:)

I've got a 120mm Aerocool Shark coming that I'm going to use on a Scythe Big Shuriken.

Watch the video for the 140mm version. It flows a lot more air through the radiator then all others at the same speed and matches airflow of the fans at 2000 rpms.

Thought I'd bump this thread as I found another channel to add to the other two: atreviewnet

The website has a nice simple layout to it and shows all the fans the user has done so far: http://atreview.net
