World Of Warcraft Cataclysm success?

I have started playing this game after a couple of months and i'm in love with it.
Has Cataclysm been a success in your opinion?

Also does anyone on here play on the server Hellscream?

i made a new character for cataclysm, a troll druid.

i was having a good time until i hit northrend. LIKE A FUCKING BRICK WALL. 0-60? fast as shit. 60-70? 2 sittings. northrend? WISHING FOR DEATH, FUN = 0.

exp ramps up so fucking sharply and it takes forever. i don't have the patience to do northrend again. once was enough.

I agree with you there with the new guild perks lvling goes so fast
I've just been Pvping alot which is fun
And trying to get as many achievements as possible

I've been playing the game since TBC but I played on my friends accounts before that. The best part for me is the leveling process and pvp'ing when i feel like it. I suggest you to take your time doing quests, exploring zones, going to festivals, dancing, and enjoying the game. I think Cata is a success in the sense that it is WoW 2 without losing the player base. Everything changed, old quests renewed, talent tree changes, tanking, dps changes. We all had to learn the game from start with every class (eg. felguard at lvl 10) we have made. I will make a new char and do all the quests so I can see the new questlines. I play it at a very basic level of understanding as I've really never played this sort of game before. I'm only level 11 currently but enjoying just taking my time and doing it on my own, learning as I'm going along. A bit worried about when I get to higher levels with dungeons and the like that I will be considered a total "noob" but oh well, you have to start somewhere I'm a human hunter btw.

Hardest part of learning for me was finding relevant information about skills, classes, etc. I suggest start with wowhead.com to search for basic tips on spells, talents, items and quests.

PvP is chaotic so many spells going on with lots of animations. Plus I didnt know for a while what to do in bgs. There is nothing in wow telling you what to do in a specific bg except the 100 word introduction in the queue dialog(default key"h").

My suggestion for you is do some battlegrounds especially at lvl 14, 19, 24. Hunters are overpowered at those levels even without gear. Check another hunters gear and his spec. Winning bgs once a day grants about 75% of a level.

When everything changed i stoped playing as my Orc Hunter because it didn't have mana anymore
Pvping is great when playing it just take it easy and don't be afraid to ask questions most people will happly answer. Thats what i did when i wasn't sure. Now i really enjoy it
Joining a decent guild helps as well. Their like a friend base

It does to some extent that your so underpowered compared with a lvl 80
It just takes a long time i really enjoy the higher lvls theirs more to do really
And its when the classes get really diverse

At the moment i have 2000G for my fast flying mount
Just from my skinning and tailoring
