Sorry for offtopic. For me it takes just a few seconds... Maybe that's because techpowerup is located near you? Techpowerup feels a bit slow for me, upload.ee is very fast site for uploads.
What card you tried on?

and no, techpowerup.org should also compress the files.

you're posting on TPU, so best to use TPU's image host. works better for the people helping you, as opposed to better for you...

5870 what, mobility? Desktop drivers is easy stuff, i guess the switchable graphics intel HD has something to do here maybe..... But there must be a solution, it HAS to work, when it's marked, that it is supposed to.

desktop. we do have complete user specs here, look under my display image on the left.

my guess is a problem with the mobility drivers - google for modded desktop drivers, and make sure to use matched OCL + drivers - dont use 10.12 drivers with 11.1 OCL, or other combinations like that.

Let him use want he wants man, makes no difference.

I use photobucket rather than TPU as the upload rate is better and I have more code precompiled code options.

modded desktop drivers? What do you mean?

if you'd googled, you'd know :p

you can get desktop drivers with modded INF's, so that they work on the mobility cards. that should solve your problem, assuming the mobility drivers are at fault.

I've confirmed that 11.1 desktop drivers and OCL package work with the compute4cash program, so all you need to do is get that driver with a mobility mod, and test it on your system.

the opencl tool you are using may not be able to detect the radeon card because the intel one is being forced by default

Edit: what brand and model is the laptop btw? Toshiba and Sony are notorious for blocking the default ati drivers...

From the AMD site:

NOTE! The following notebooks are not compatible with this release:
Any notebook launched after this driver release
Switchable Graphics enabled notebooks using Intel® chipsets.
Toshiba® notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
Sony® VAIO® notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
Panasonic® notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)

This means that your best bet to get OpenCL drivers for your laptop is to contact ACER directly and ask them for OpenCL enabled switchable drivers...

Hello. I have gotten a laptop with mobility radeon HD 5850 at christmas with switchable graphics ability to intel HD graphics (for lower battery consumption). Now my brother found a good site, where my GPU can do workunits for cash, since my GPU supports OpenCL. When i followed this tutorial to enable openCL, http://www.geeks3d.com/20091221/how-to-enable-opencl-support-on-nvidia-and-amd-platforms/ then it recognized my I5 CPU as a OpenCL unit, but not the HD 5850. Also found this little hotfixie for 10.12 (http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/ATICatalyst912Hotfix.aspx), which i couldnt install due to site mainetance ( site has been on mainetance for already like 12 hours, is this normal?:( )

Also made a picture of the situation :/

You should update GPUCapsViewer, the latest version supports multiple OpenCL vendors

http://www.geeks3d.com/20110208/gpu-caps-viewer-1-10-0-geforce-gt-440-improved-opencl-support/

Regarding the hybrid notebook: keep the OEM drivers and install the recent Catalyst with OpenCL on top. You get them only by using direct links:

Is there an option in the bios to switch to say "discrete" graphics adapter so you can update the driver?

I know with Toshiba OEM ATI drivers I have to use DriverSweeper to clean as much of the old drivers off before installing the newest mobility drivers.

Not in my Hewlett Packard, i have to switch via CCC (check attached screenshot)

And my HP goes nuts if i remove the OEM hybrid driver.

Can you disable the Intel graphics adapter within Device manager while using the ATI GPU?

Update: Looking around on HP's site if you go into the bios, hit F1, there should be something within your bios that allows you to select the bootup card as IGP or dGPU. What model HP and what bios are you using?

Actually my notebook doesn't like modifications in device manager as well.
E.g. i tried updating drivers in device manager without success.
My notebook is a G62 a00
Unfortunately no option in BIOS available.

You can't even right click the Intel driver and tell it to disable!?:wtf:

Have you tried installing Driver Sweeper, uninstall both the Intel and AMD/ATI Graphics drivers, reboot into Safe Mode, run Driver Sweeper to clean the AMD/ATI drivers, reboot back to Normal mode and install the newest AMD Mobility Catalyst drivers, and then install the Intel drivers?

No, i can't install Intel drivers separately, it fails with an error message. Actually this is mentioned several times at HP's official forums by misc. users, but HP seems to ignore it.
So for me the way to go is installing OEM hybrid driver and then recent Mobility on top.

my system also goes crazy when i uninstall factory drivers. I am going to try StefanM's solution.
EDIT:StefanM YOU ARE THE BEST! Thank you so much... You solved this all big mistery;) The drivers you provided, really helped. Can you please email me the link to get those drivers later on, when they are getting updated? Email: alosepp(at)hotmail(dot)com

Also thank you all everyone else, who helped.

Bookmark the deep links above and change 11-1 to 11-2 for next release and so on.
Hopefully the new Catalyst crew chief doesn't change that pattern.
