I was a die hard Firefox fan and moaned that Chrome was too simplistic. Since a lot of my favourite plugins are available on Chrome I gave it a shot in the mouth and I haven't looked back since.

It's fast, reliable, simplistic and is constantly being updated and improved.

I like it.

I think it's OK for what it is, but it's no faster for me than anything else I might use (usually FF).
Also, some sites don't support this browser (eg. for online banking I cannot use it). In time, this compatibility issue will change, I'm sure :)

I moved over to Chrome. It's excellent. I've added a couple of useful plugins, and will never go back to the (current) competition. 100%

If it is helpful to get you started, here are my favourite plugins:

1./ IE Tab. Really useful, some websites, particularly embedded webservers in printers and scanners etc. just prefer IE, and this makes IE work within Chrome
2./ Cooliris
3./ Flashblock
4./ Google translate

Chrome and I were in a very loving relationship until I became suspicious that Google logging my information and selling it to Phrack.

IMHO

Chrome is faster (start up and browsing), clean (simple gui) and has build-in pdf reader and flash player. But on the extension side firefox wins.
About Opera, I love his sooo smooth scrolling and the built in content block!!!

1. Install Firefox and Chrome
2. Play around with both, 1 week each. During that time, you should not use the other.
3. Start to use both at the same time, with a conscious attempt to use both.
Slowly, you will drift to one or the other. Uninstall the other one. Nothing to argue about, really. You can have arguments like "mine is 1ms faster than yours" and pointless things like that, but that's all you can talk about between the two in terms of end user experience.

I use whatever is available, but I usually use chrome at home due to the clean look.

i've been using chrome for a while and i recently made the switch back to ie because i'm in love with ie9. I've had fun with chrome, but when you're scrolling through images it's a bit choppy and it got annoying after a while. Also i work in it and quite a few of the control panels out there are built for ie and having it as my primary browser has made life considerably easier

sucks on flash and java. Also not that compatible as IE. But better than bloated Firefox.

I use opera as a default browser and firefox with a ton of plugins for banking. It works out well enough and i can't complain. IMO all browsers are the same, except IE which will always suck because MS is "evil" :D

It's a browser. I type an address in.. I go to the website. I can also go backwards to the previous site I visited and forwards to the site I was visiting but hit the back button to view a site or page I was previously viewing. I can also refresh my page. The address bar also works as a search.. like other browsers. To conclude, Google Chrome is a browser.

It's a generation ahead of Firefox 3.6, same generation as Firefox 4.
