And its the first good mouse I've ever owned.

I know sensitivity is a personal thing but I'm looking to get the most out of my mouse and I'm willing to adapt.

Before I had this mouse my mouse setting in source games was as high as 12.5

And in Crysis 2 85/100.

Messing arround I set the DPI to the max 3500 and brought down crysis 2 to 40/100 but I'm not sure it feels right.

Any recommendations for what DPI I should use? I game at 1920x1080 if that changes anything?

Point is I just don't know weather I should have Higher DPI and lower sensitivity or Higher Sensitivity and Lower DPI? Thats the question really.

All this is done by the Razer software btw. It has the sensitivity and DPI options all there.

I heard highest DPI with less sensitivity is "more accurate" whether or not that is true, I just set it to max DPI

Hmm I'm trying out 1800DPI with increased sensitivity and I'm liking it much more now.

Maybe cause I'm used to lower DPI?

I might work my way up I guess.

f the higher DPIs are too fast just lower the sensitivity to equal the speed that you want?

I personally don't see the difference between, say 1800dpi and 5000dpi if sensitivity is adjusted to the same speed, but I do notice 5000 DPI is more precise than say 800

Alright then, I suppose I will stick at 1800 then seeing as its high enough.

I'll still keep my eye on this thread to see if anyone else has anything to add.

Thanks for letting me know sniviler. I need a good pad now too. Maybe I'll get that.

And I never use a screen saver but I think my screen still falls asleep like it should.

I use the highest DPI and a pretty high sensitivity too. Then again I'm a high sensitivity gamer.

To be honest, adjusting to a new mouse, nothing will feel right until you pick a setting and stick to it. Your hand-eye coordination will adjust. I would recommend a higher DPI and a lower sensitivity personally since you spent the money for that sensor (you may as well take advantage of it)!

Enjoy it! I've owned three Deathadders and tried my HARDEST to find a suitable replacement, but I just bought another one!

Deathadder's are great, loved mine when I had one. I've since found my favorite mouse and have no real desire to replace it. Steelseries Xai. Mouse is fantastic.

Personally, my Deathadder is just like any other mouse ive bought. I really see no difference other than cosmetics to that of an MX518 or Habu. (and ive owned all 3)

I like my Rapoo V8, but it freaking died on me 2 times each in only a few months, when I BABIED it.... I'm thinking of getting the Rapoo V3 (wired version) but I'm sad I lost so much $$ in that mouse
