there is no risk, no big deal. the worst that could happen is another blue screen but you can go again in DOS with another card and reflash the initial bios.

So, i've tested the iceQ X Turbo X BIOS and it seems like HIS uses some other components on their card. I had a black screen and the computer won't boot anymore, just like after flashing the Toxic one. Thank you for sharing the BIOS, but it also doesn't work with reference cards, so i flashed the XFX Black again. :)

there's no point in trying that now. Belle already tested the HIS IceQ X TurboX bios and it seems it does not work on reference cards. The only thing that works and has the highest clock rates until now is XFX Black Edition bios. I guess we will stick to that.

Also Powercolor has made a PCS++ Gold with 970 and 1150. Let's wait for that, maybe that one works.
Thank you Belle for feedback !

Try to put your 6870 in the second PCIE slot and switch in the BIOS onboard graphics to "on" and detect first "onboard / PCIE".

Hi, i was reading this whole topic, and i'm sorry to bump it up since it's old, but i do have a question though. Yeah i know i'm new and registered to say/ask about this.

I have the chance to buy :

HIS HD 6870 IceQ X Turbo 1 GB GDDR5

Will the bios from the X Turbo X work on this version ? or the hardware are not the same ? Like the MacClipper Bios Dump can be flashed with ATi tool for this version ?

thank you.
