cpu temp confuser !

sisoft sandra show me about 28c-33c (i have no idea from where she reads)

mb temp monitoring prog show 45c-55c (reads thermal diod temp through I/O sensor)

case tmp sensor show 40c-53c ( reads cpu sink temp which i stick it by myself to heat sink )

sandra also show board temp & power/aux temp & both of them about 15c are higher than cpu temp which it show.


& have a question ! at the normal circumstances ;
cpu cooler than heatsink
or
heat sink is cooler than cpu
or
they are equal @ temp

by the way, if by any chance this is important or help , my cooler is pure copper & its name is "giga 3d cooler ultra(gt)"

Nominally, you're trying to get the heatsink to be hotter, as it has more surface area to dissipate heat. But, since thermal glues aren't perfect, your CPU will probably be running slightly hotter. If your heatsink and CPU are roughly the same temperature, then everything is running fine.

I'll bet Sandra is reading from your north bridge instead of processor. That's a pretty common temperature error.

maybe , but now i try with NVIDIA System Utility & now become weird-er ! it's temp totaly differ from each one of them i mention & about 10degree higher

The best way to find out which one is your CPU is to run a burn in test of some kind and see which temperature jumps the most, that will more than likely be your processor.

right, nice , merci , but prob just about which one is ture i mean , ihave about 3 differ temp for cpu & some temp i even didn't know what they are for like some RT1 sens(it says ext cpu temp!!! but i have another temp for ext too!!) or ...

Never open more than 1 temperature monitoring utility at one time as it screws up the reading. The best is to read from BIOS.

As you can see from BIOS, your CPU and System Temp is quite normal and I understand its summer now? The ABS temp seems to be a safety mechanism to protect your CPU from overheating. The 75c is the cutoff temperature.

right , summer (i just thought about this yesterday ) -& about that anti burn do u know from where it read its values ? - it is too high about a few week ago it never goes higher than 55-60 !
btw- there still cpu extenal temp which is differ!? - i realy wanna know why each prog show somtin else!.& tnx alot 4 time & response

Can I know the make and model of your motherboard?

Usually the reason why different monitoring programmes can show different temps is that each programme can be calibrated differently when fetching information from the sensors.

soltek SL-75FRN2-RL / nvidia nForce2 sonata C1 Ultra 400 (bought @ ~1#quarter 2k3)

i have some doubts - i mean - bios & mnt util are from same brand (both came with MB ) - nv util design for this chip - sandra not a bad app - & my own temp sensors are correct ! - weird nah!!?
