hehe
Fusion = new socket due to ondie graphics display output, much like sandy bridge
Bulldozer = just need a upgraded current socket with better HyperTransport and Power Management

Bulldozer aka FX series wil use AM3+
Fusion aka A series will use new FM1 socket

its like going back to 2003 when amd released athlon 64 and x64 techology
they then they had socket 754 as budget and socket 939 for gaming
now its Socket FM1 for budget/mainstream and AM3+ for gaming

Not that I know of, they're using UEFI these days, although it's AMI's Aptio which looks and works just like a BIOS

Oh for christ sake, 5xSATA 3.0 connectors and 1xeSATA3.0
And the miniATX has all 6 internal SATA ports. Why?
Same story with my actual motherboard, I had to buy a darn "eSata to sata" cable, plug it in the back and pass it through an empty PCI slot to the inside of my system.

I am the only one with all 6 SATA connectors in use?

Also, having USB 3.0, does eSata makes any sense?

Is it so hard to make an option in the bios like, lets say, "6th SATA port" Internal/External? (and have all the 6 SATA connectors inside + the eSATA)

Why even a BIOS option? Why not just a simple switch?

MY nas runs 8+4+4+4 sata's.... it's one of the things I always look at, sata ports.
I don't care about esata either, waste really!

No, I use 7 SATA connectors... :p
Which means I have to be quite selective picking a suitable board and it's a real pain.

I only have 6 in my server, and they are all taken (and that's not even enough. I need to grab a controller card). I wouldn't buy a board that sacrifices one for eSATA either

They really have to come up with dual southbridges or something like SB850 with 6 sata ports and an SB855 with 10 SATA to say the least.
