i'm using MSI 890GXM-G65 on-board graphic HD4290

Equipped 1 Gigabit (128MB) DDR3 1333MHz IGP boost memory to accelerate onboard VGA 3D performance enhanced up to an additional 15%.
Independent IGP memory can reduce the consumption of system memory

Supports Onboard VGA with PCI-E graphic card combination
Easy to install
Double the graphic performance to meet your processing needs
Save the money for two graphic cards and to reach ATI Crossfire function easily

i looking into low profile amd card to crossfire with my on-board HD4290
may i know which highest model enable me to run crossfire with HD4290?
hope for HD6000 or HD5000 card

i don't need any mid or high profile card.

your mobo's instruction Manuel says

Graphic card based on an ATI Radeon™ HD 3450 series, ATI Radeon™ HD 3470
series or ATI Radeon™ HD 5450 (for Asymmetric CrossFireX™) graphics processor.

so the highest model is actually a hd 5450

don't think it matters, should work with whatever and if it doesn't just swap it over

in application its much the same as using normal crossfire or sli

if you've got a bit more money though you'd save yourself a lot of trouble and effort and get greater performance by going with a low profile mid range 6 series card

this will give you many times the performance of a hybrid corssfire set up HIS H657H1G Radeon HD 6570 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Ex...

this also good but i think the ati may be better ASUS ENGT430/DI/1GD3(LP) GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 1G...- onthe other hand its still faster then crossfire and its less then $50

6570 can work with HD4290?

and i wonder if 6450 can work? since it is rename 5450 and added HDMI 1.4 and app

i getting low profile becasue it's cheap only cost 50 dollars.. and i have a main pc for gaming..
i just need 5450 to do encoding video
HD4290 do not support encoding :(

no but your seriously overestimating how fast hybrid crossfire is, 9/10 times your better of buying a low end card, this is $35 after rebate and will be 5x-10x (maybe even 15x)the speed of a hybrid crossfire set up, ad if your saying your going for low profile cause its cheap the low profile cards cost more the the full sized ones
