Genric Non-PNP Monitor problem!

hi guys i have a huge problem that my pc does not display the correct resolution on my LED which is ACER S2HLBD 21.5 inch and the GPU is gtx 560 ti SOC gigabyte.....sometimes it randomly starts working on its HD resoulotion and other times it reverts back to its low NON ORIGNAL resouliton 1024x768 though the monitor is HD 1920 x 1080 P.....when i click on the SCREEN RESOULTION icon after right clicking on the desktop it doesnt show HD but then i went to the Nvidia control panel sometimes it also show's HD and sometimes not so i had to create custom resolution but very few games run on this resolution which is manually created while in others the game runs on the lower resolution which is 1024 x 768 P or some other low resolution when i change the resolution again in my game it says that INPUT NOT SUPPORTED ...! plz guys help me i can only rely on your genius for the solution of this problem!....!

Now, please fill in your system specs in your profile, as it will help us to help you. In particular which version of Windows are you running and is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

Finally, update your drivers to the latest from www.nvidia.com before doing anything else and let us know if it cures the problem.

Damn, I got an headache trying to read what your wrote. Punctuation helps, you know?
Since your monitor has DVI and VGA, connect the monitor with the DVI cable to your graphics card's top DVI connector. Then start your computer, check if you have the latest nVidia drivers and install and update if needed (if you haven't already). Then install the drivers for your monitor.
What operating system are you using, by the way?

EDIT: Aw man, qubit beat me to it.
