I'm traveling. It's always insanely cold in airports and airplanes, no matter how hot it is outside.
I went from thin t-shirt and shirts to pants and thick hoodie. If you are dying from heat, go to your local airport, they have restrooms, shops and free wi-fi. I slept in airports in London and Amsterdam on benches, while waiting for my flight. And I wasn't alone. In London there was a bunch of people sleeping and it felt strangely normal.

I finally fixed my Air Conditioning in my car 2-3 weeks ago. It was originally busted by someone that did a hit and run on my car and it has taken me my third summer without AC to finally put it in. Thats college for you!

I am hardly beating the heat. Computer plus monitor putting out 600W in the smallest room in the house brings the room to 85F pretty quickly. Oddly enough, even for me, the lover of all things wintry, I don't seem to mind. When my records begin to warp, maybe then I'll start bitching.

While I don't have a badge, I have contributed nearly 900k points to F@H. Can I get an extra half entry?

30 minute taking a cold shower fully dressed -> 1 hour in front of an AC unit set to maximum cooling -> 3 days bedridden unable to move a single muscle .

Depends on the airport. The smaller ones that Ryanair flies out of (labeled as London, but an hour away by bus) allow sleeping because the bus cant get there early enough for early flights. I know this from experience, but you have to enjoy the cheap tickets.

As far as summer in the US of A, gotta go with fire and alcohol. While both at the same time are ill advised, fireworks are always appreciated. A cold beverage, alcoholic or otherwise, is nice when you're sitting outside enjoying the fact that summer finally arrived. I can't bemoan the heat though, our winter lasted until a couple weeks ago so a little bit of sunshine and warmth is appreciated.
