Hi all. I just want to confirm with you all. I've got a small home file server.
Now recently I've added a 1TB HDD with a sata 4 port pci card. It was working flawlessly
these past few weeks and had no problem. But I've got an old generic power supply in there.
It runs good for a few minutes/hours then suddenly it can't find the hdd on the network. When I remotely log in and check the device properties the drive is not showing.
Could it be the power supply thats giving in. Cause there a 4 more ide hdd's attached to the server and not giving sufficient power to the hdd.
