get a cheap psu(not cheap quilty just not overpriced) theres a psu thred in genral hardware section that should give some good ideas of brands to choose.

dell psu's are, well crap, one of the first thing the shop i work for changes out when working on dells, we carge people cost for a 350watt sparke(fortron) psu (capable of running pretty much anyting u can fit in any dell system ever made and then some)

That doesnt sound too bad...i cant see why an X800 wouldnt work on it

Under that "+12V", what A rating does it have?

so 1650XT? is this the top of the range card in the 1600 range? and you guys are sure it requires no external power? anyone got specs on the card?
IIRC, the 1650 (pro/XT) card for AGP need external power supply. The PCI-e card don't need external power supply.

Arto.

its nota GTO2 but you may be able to find a X800GTO as i did! had r480 chip ulockable pipes and card runs way better than 850XTPE speeds w/additional cooler....oh just some info ,it now resides in my lady's pc which is a compac and has no power to speek of and still runs those speeds.

oh is a Sapphire make but i have seen them still availiable here and there!

as many have said, changing your power supply is the best route (it really isnt hard to do if thats whats holding you back from doing it)

but imo the 7600gt(the overclocked ones e.g 590/1600) is the best card without a power connector, and im an ati man!

just to set the record straight, i didnt mean replace his existing psu, i meant run another psu along side to power the gto2.
i know it read like i meant replace it, but anyway, a dual psu solution is a bit crap anyway.

for the dual PSU to work, it would require shorting one of them (cant have 2 PSU's plugged into the mobo)

I tried doing that with my X800, and i think thats what fried it :p
