Those are the rumors but it's been said that publisher like EA, etc already have prototypes of the next gen xbox. So whatever they do have is probably etched in stone already.

If MS goes with a x86 chip that should help developers lower development time and cost. This should remove any hurdles for console titles to be released on PC without the console 'limitations'. An A8-3850 (Llano) would be a nice performance bump for consoles.

Edit:
If there is an AMD Bulldozer APU on the horizon it's said to be 50% faster then Llano.

Well that is true

the expectations:

Llano 400GFlops
Trinity 600GFlops

The current Xbox and PS3 only make 150-200GFlops in comparison

You know, if they do that, it won't surprise me. They'd simply call it all Windows Live instead of Life(Vienna or w/e)

You think it's a necro for a post made just over a month ago? Anyway, I still think there is more to come regarding this. I always thought that xbox live would be offered on PC. Now I wait and see if that will include mobile devices as well.
