Okay so we know this is one of those Motherboards which want you to put the RAM into slots two and four.

So don't bother placing the ram into slot 1 and 3.
Yuo will get the same dual channel performance having them run in 2 and 4.

Benchmark Scores 2cm mark on bench with a razor blade.
I think this maybe an ASUS thing as I have only had this situation with ASUS motherboards.
But not all of them are like this.

The last ASUS motherboard I worked on was worse than most.

ASUS P6T.

I had to place the RAM in slot 2 and slot 6
Power off.
Then place the last stick in slot 3 other wise the system would not recognize 3x2GB RAM.
