[WTB][US] cheap low end radeon hd video card pci-e

Like the title says I am looking for a low end radeon HD card. Something 3xxx series or newer preferably. Not looking to spend to much. Just plan on modding it to a pci-e 1x card so I can run my 3rd display. Prefer it had a black or red PCB to match the color scheme of my build. Not interested in a nvidia card because I want it to play nice with my 6870. So if you got one you would sell for real cheap let me know. Also if its a 1x card or you already cut the pci-e 16x down to a 1x I would be interested in it as well.

What do you mean modified end? Does it look ugly or just a standard pci bracket?

I was going to say that I have a couple of the red PCB HD4870's however I just could not imagine cutting the card up, taking the chance on killing it, or making a permanent PCIe x1 card LOL. Good luck BrooksyX!

Maybe check the open box deals on NewEgg for a cheap card?

Ha yeah I would never ruin a good card. Just need something cheap with a low power draw. To run 2d applications. Right now my setup is my 21.5" LCD 1080p and my 40" LCD 1080p are mirrored/cloned and I have a 14" 1024x768 LCD I use an extended desktop for a little extra screen space when I am doing school work or to show diagnostic tools while I am gaming.

Yes I am. I know there are things like that. But I would prefer just to make it a pci-e 1x so it fits in the slot normal. I would just melt the end of one of the pci-e 1x slots if my motherboard wasnt under warranty but sadly it is. Thats why I want a cheap card so if I ruin it I won't be to upset. If you read the thread you will see i linked to a thread proving it works.
