Sapphire 6950 2GB Strange Problem

Hi everybody


I have a strange problem , I have the Sapphire 6950 2GB But when I play games the GPU load doesn't get over 60% ....... the CPU : Core 2 Quad Q6600 3.6GHZ , its not a bottleneck

Benchmark Scores 2.3 promile of alcohol in my blood and still standing
Workaround for this problem:
1. Find autoexec.cfg with highest possible detail level on Earth.
2. Install 3-rd party texture packs
3. Set monitor resolution beyond its range and downsample it.
4. Run Furmark in background.

HD6950 is quite powerfull GPU and Crysis is no challenge for it.

Well, be happy that you have 50% reserve... The main reason is your screen resolution. I play at the same resolution and all games fly super fast while others who use 1920x1080 or beyond complain about crappy framerate. Just bump up FSAA, AF, texture quality etc and enjoy :D

You could very well have a bottleneck. Playing at a lower resolution things become more CPU dependant and while your CPU has a good clock speed, it could very well be the lack of RAM bandwidth holding things back.
