not sure what ot get him. GTX550ti and not really worry about power connections or spend $14 more bucks and get the HD6790 and use the 6 pin to molex for the other power connect and have a bit better performance?
EDIT: been looking at reviews and even with the 2 6pin connectors on the 6790 its using less power then the gtx550ti and about 10% more powerful and the memory bandwidth is a lot higher then the GTX550ti which i would think probalby help with high res pictures and what not in photoshop
