you can skip the over priced Fatality board and go with something cheaper like a Asus P8P67 Pro - but make sure any P67 or Z68 board you buy has the B3 stepping.

any 1600 DDR3 Ram will do really. I use Corsair Vengeance ram.

get rid of the 4850, and snap yourself up a GTX560 or 570. If you wish to stay with ATi then get a 6950 and see if you can unlock the pipes.

:Edit:

the P8P67 Pro should still be able to take the 2600k to 4.8Ghz or even higher if youre lucky
I think your thinking of the professional model. This one is $120

Nah I can wait, but this is why I am asking. Should I go AMD or Intel? I am not a fanboy. I just want what is best in my price range with good performance for what I want.

go with the intel then. at the moment, it will give you the best bang for buck with some serious head room for overclocking

but then again the bulldozer isnt available to purchase right now, and you want something right now.

I dont know who youre hearing BD will be better, as AMD has kept a really tight lid on all info. all people know are clock speeds, sites have thrown up performance charts, but those performance charts are taken from other sites and the other site got them from another site and the other site got it from an unknown source, so at the moment, any benchmarks you see are all just fakes. AMD hasnt confirmed any of the perfomance charts floating around the net as genuine

AMD hasnt made it clear when BD will be in the shops . it could be next week, the week after or within month or the next.

--------

If you really cant wait. get the Intel. If BD turns out to be a real winner. then theres always Intels ivy bridge to look foward to

Cheers FreedomEclipse. :)

You think it is worth waiting for Bulldozer to get released and wait for price drops (like someone mentioned previously)? Like I don't really care about a $20 price drop or something, but if its in the $50-$100 then I will ha. :L

EDIT: Also I have just heard from people that Bulldozer will be like 50 times cheaper for double the performance (mostly people just praising AMD but yeah). I am no fanboy of either I just want good value for good performance.

like we said before. If you can wait. then its worth waiting for even if BD doesnt turn out to be so amazing. Intel SB chips will take a price drop making them even worthwhile.

Also I have just heard from people that Bulldozer will be like 50 times cheaper for double the performance (mostly people just praising AMD but yeah). I am no fanboy of either I just want good value for good performance.

Anything that people say about BD should be taken with a pinch of salt until AMD confirms it, and at this stage they have confirmed nothing.

Of course everyone WOULD LIKE AMD to make a great CPU. but maybe their getting too excited about it.

Also I highly doubt it would be 50x cheaper. AMD processors are cheaper. but usually for $20-30 you can have and intel chip that totally rips it a new ass hole.

AMD have some great low to mid range chips, their high end chips are good too, but intels are better.

If you got the money to spend. go for the intel. if not then an AMD X6 1090T.

I cant recommend the X6 1100T BE due the fact that it costs the same as the 2500k and gets totally T-bagged by it.

Cheers for all the help man. :) I think I will wait for the Bulldozer series but will get the 2500k. :) Will the price drop come essentially when AMD releases there new chipset or will it take a few months after?

no one knows. Intel could lower prices on the build up to AMD's BD release or they could do it afterwards.

Thanks. :) The 2500k should be more then fine for the next two years (I usually upgrade every 2-3 years).

Cool beans. :D
