I'm in the middle of overhauling my Maverick (yes, that is the name of my PC).
Right now I have the Following:
C2Q Q9550 @ 3.4Ghz "Yorkfield"
Asus P5Q Pro
2x ATI HD5870 1Gb Crossfire
2 x Intel X25-M SSD in Raid0, 3 x 2Tb Hdd Samsung
I already bought the ram and board:
Corsair XMS3 — 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9)
Asrock Z68 Fatal1ty Pro
CPU will be 2500K and I will order it next week.
Now, I have a doubt. Should I upgrade the Sdds?
I saw in the PassMark Charts that the Corsair Force GTs would be a nice buy. But, after looking at Toms Hardware Charts I saw that this drive is very low on the scale, actually even lower that the ones I have.
This begs the question, WFT?? Which one is right?
TRIM:
There is another thing I don't understand, TRIM, I know what it does and how it works, but I have RAID 0. I have searched far into this and I can't get a clear answer, does it work on RAID0 or not? Intel released a driver for it but, I think it is only for Intel Boards, at least that is what it says on the website.
