Trying to figure out why my RAM defaults to the slowest setting (668). Changed it from automatic to 1600, 1333, and 800. Same results every time.
(using speccy to check speeds)

you need to go into the bios to configure the timings and voltage to run the ram at anything more than 1333mhz.

you should be able to just set the ram multi run at 1600mhz, set 9-9-9-24 2T, the voltage should already be 1.5V. Try to boot it and see what happens.

RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 9 clocks
RAS# Precharge (tRP) 9 clocks

was already 9-9-9-24 switched 1T to 2T

I realize why they call DDR3 DDR3 and realize these numbers are normal... going to walk in shame now

yeah I just didn't know how to add up your actual speed. (Didn't know to multiply)

Although I was running at 1333 and now going full at 1600 :D

Awesome. I have the same RAM. I run mine at 9-9-9-24 1T @ 1.6v. Try that if you haven't already. I know they can do better but I haven't bothered to try.
