Hi Guys! I have a little problem with the oc of my Q6600 Step G0.

Here my cfg:

Q6600 Step G0 2,40Ghz @ 3,62Ghz
Corsair XMS_DHX 1066 5-5-5-15
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus

====BIOS Settings====
CPU VID: 1.25000
CPU Voltage: 1,40 Volt
CPU PLL: 1,54
FSB Voltage: 1,36 Volt
NB Voltage: 1,46
CPU GTL: 0.615
Load Line Calibration: Enabled
Frequency: 400x9
Temperatures: 50C° - 46C° - 45C° - 44C°

If i try to set 450x8, Bios won't show me the POST... I see only a black screen :banghead:

Can you help me? I must adjust a few of settings? Plz help me

To run 450, you might have to adjust your DRAM freq and/or timings down a bit. The Q6600 likes to get a little squirelly with excessive BUS speeds.

I'd start by stepping up the BUS slowly, though - try 405 or 410 with a x9 multi and see if it'll POST, and how it handles under benching. If it seems alright, step it up again to 415. Once you get to the point where it doesn't want to post, lower the multi and then see if it will.

You need to find where the problem is, whether it's the CPU multi, or the BUS frequency. If it's the BUS frequency - adjust your DRAM clocks and loosen the timing. You might also need to bump the NSB voltage just a bit, too.

It's a delicate game shooting for the 4Ghz marks with a quad . . . they don't like that much speed.

You can start by doing some research on overclocking rather than expecting straight anwsers.

Good luck it can happen just depends on the board and ram config. 450 bus on a quad is a lot to ask for. It was really pushing it on my P5Q-Pro buddies Biostar P45 board however had no issues. Start with 405 and start walking up at 5mhz increments. When it stops posting try more voltage.

All I got to say after looking at your specs and seeing a cheap P43 board good luck.
