In Norway it's cheaper than sport combustion engine cars as there is no VAT and no engine taxes (bigger engine and more power = higher taxes).
New Roadster = 116.800 USD
New Porsche 911 Carrera 3,8 GTS = 285.500 USD

I'm a motorcycle nut myself so I don't know how well they compare, but that's just to give you and idea.

/end of OT.

I think the technology already available now.

To get longer lasting battery, you need bigger capacity battery(mAh = milliampere per hour)
Faster charging time, you need bigger charge multiplier(currently available is 15C).

Most Mobile devices equipped with 1000mAh to 3000mAh battery. 6000mAh is available now.
If charging 1000mAh battery at 1C/1Amp (1C * 1000mA = 1Amp) it required about 60 minutes from zero capacity to full capacity. If you charge this battery at 10C/10Amp it only required about 6 minutes.

Most of the article wrote was comparing with lithium ion battery, what about other type of battery like Lithium polymer (high charge and discharge rate, light weight), Li-Fe, Lithium Tantianete (highest capacity battery).

Nano tech already been implemented in Li-Po battery with max charge rate of 15C and max discharge rate of 90C. If 1000mAh battery have 15C, you can charge the battery at 15A for about 4 minutes, with 90C discharge, it can supply about 90Amp of current which it take only about 666ms to drain out the battery from fully charge to fully flat.

For five years from now, mobile devices will consume lower power today, maybe 10time less.

Great point here, I really believe Lipo's are the way forward. My phone uses it and lasts 7 days with a full charge. Heck its lighter than Li-ion batteries. I even use them in my RC planes, they cost a lot less than these cumbersome Li-ion batteries. Bang/buck the way to go.

Well if $ counts, then you've got the Nissan Leaf. Not a supercar by any means but still.
