More than anything, these devices need a hole so you can thread them to a keychain, or together, or to a neckband. Paperclip indeed! Collar pendant!

Good idea ruined by stubbornly sticking to the USB 2.0 interface. If it's not USB 3, it's simply not worth looking at anymore.
