About to build my first computer and have settled on everything but a graphics card ,

I really cant decide what is going to be a better value to me , mostly im looking to game on 1440*990 resolution possible more but not often . The kinda game i do 90% of the time is mmorpg . It is possible i will go with a 2 monitor setup in the future.

my choices are
XFX Double D HD-679X-ZDFC Radeon HD 6790 1GB 256-b...

XFX Double D HD-685X-ZDFC Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-b...

XFX Double D HD-687A-ZDFC Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-b...

Really im just looking for what difference im going to see in each selected graphics card, The real question to ask would be how much better is each one compared to the other and will there be any major difference in performance between them .

Thanks in advance !

TPU does very comprehensive graphics card reviews - they're our specialty, in fact, so I recommend that you check out those for some hard performance figures.

Also, I see that you only have AMD on your list. Is there any particular reason you don't want nvidia, perhaps? You'd have a wider choice by considering both.

You may like to complete your system specs in the usercp, as it will help us to help you - and looks kinda cool.

And welcome to TPU. :toast:

Welcome to TechpowerUp Crx15 :)
I agrre with qbit, try to choose Nvidia too and you will have a wider range of options, right now, the GTX 550Ti actually performs a little less than Radeon 6790 but World Of Warcraft (The game i supose you'll be playing) it's one of those "mean to be played" games, so the arquitecture will help you a little. I play on AMD setup and graphicaly the game is demanding on Ultra Settings, so if you plan to dual 1440*900 a 6850 should be enough, but for future proof, the 6870 will fit you terrific.
