PCIe 1.1 and 2.0 issue

I have a question: is it normal to the motherboard or video card to switch between PCIE 1.1 and 2.0 constantly (but it remains in x16) as I am seeing in GPUZ?

underload it should actually say at PCI-E 2.0 and mine under idle and mini load goes down to PCI-E 1.1 x16 @ x16 1.1

Why pci-e 1.1 x16 @ x16 1.1?

How used PCI-E 2.0?

ur board should actally figure that out on it's when it's not idling, but u can try go to "Power Options" in Windows 7/8 and set "PCI Express Link State Power Management" to Off see if that will help u.

There isn't a problem. Run 3dmark 11 and post results if it is significantly lower then look for a solution if not leave it alone. Software isn't always bug proof

ino it had worked on Asus boards before, but when u haven't filled out ur System Specs it's not easy knowing what hardware u got ^^

your system is perfectly fine varlesh, it isn't hurting your performance at all!

Ill double check that furmark score later, the ozone3d site isn't working at the moment for me!
or ill check that 6870 in my brothers rig in a week or something if you want

Thanks, indeed it switches to PCIe 1.1 when I am not browsing but Chrome seems to use GPU acceleration even disabled and makes the card switch fast between 1.1 and 2. While gaming it is at 2.0 constantly.
