Pci-e 3.0

Hi anybody in the UK know where i can find one of these Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P, Intel Z68, S 1155, DDR3, SATA III - 6Gb/s, RAID SATA, PCIe 2.0 (x16), ATX.
it has to be rev 1.3, or has it not been released here yet as all the places I have looked say PCI-E 2.0 the rev 1.3 supports PCI-E 3.0

That doesn't look like the revision he is after Tats. I'm currently about to go Sandy again and this board also has me interested, why miss out on PCIE 3.0 for the future even if it's not needed yet.

I was under the impression all sandybridge gigabyte boards will get ivy and PCI-E 3 support through a simple bios update. So you should be able to get anyone you want now

I suppose that makes sense, because the PCI-E controller is on the CPU.

yap, u need a CPU like Ivy Bridge to get PCI-E x16 3.0 to work bcs the cpu controls the speed and since Sandy Bridge is only PCI-E x16 2.0 even when the board is PCI-E x16 3.0, same goes for my Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z/Gen3.

Hi thanks all I will give aria a call tmoz it's cheaper than the other one i was looking at, as far as i was hearing ivybridge chips will fit in sandy bridge mobos and also there is supposed to be a few hiccups sorted in rev.1.3

So if i grab one Ga mobo that its included onthe list just update bios and boom!! PCI-E3.0???

How reliable is this?? has anyone try it??

Ivy Bridge should be LGA1155 when they get released and are compatible with Intel's Z68 chipset, since Intel's new H77, Z75 and Z77 also is LGA1155 u should be able to just use a bios update to get the Ivy Bridge cpu to work in ur boards even when they only do PCI-E x16 2.0, and the boards with PCI-E x16 3.0 will run 3.0 ofc and 2.0 only 2.0, depends on what they r made/designed for.

Yeah I know Ivy is the key for Pci3.0 but my question once again, does GA mobos really will have PCI-e 3.0??? Most people have bad opinions about GA z68 chipsets. I think that to probe that Ivy has to make its move.

about if Gigabyte's card has PCI-E x16 3.0 look at the PCI-E chips they should tell u the info u need in code...

this is what AsRock says is PCI-E 3.0 chips i think there are more than does out but i dunno:
