i told u, its a strange feeling :p

But still, i reckon the temps are high. I thought the C2D would be cooler than a 3Ghz Prescott @ 4Ghz....obviously, i was way off :p

And, the high temps are holding the OC back. Currently, the comp doesnt even post after 410 FSB. Opened up case and put a desktop fan in front, posted at 470 FSB but crashed. Thats without tweaking (couldnt be bothered cus i knew the fan wouldnt stay there)

Whats your point :p?

The higher the OC...the better...it actually posted at 470 FSB...its not like id run it at 470 24/7, but my point is, with the fan, it posted at over 60 FSB more...thats almost 500Mhz :p!

wow 470MHz FSB is really high.
If you want a good cooler i recommend you:
Scythe Infinity

This cooler is even better than zalman's water coller solution.
I have it in my system and it's really quiet and cools awesome.

My cooler is meant to be a great cooler too. It was crazy with my Prescott....it kept my 4Ghz prescott at 35*C idle...not bad for $20AUD (RRP is $85...bargain on ebay :D)

So. Cut the case to fit the cooler. It would be awesome to see those two fans sticking out the side. lol

What about this when it releases.

You could be our guinea pig. lol

HAHA no thats TOO big. I think I'll order the Infinity tomorrow. I think I could hit 400 fsb with just a little more v+ to the core. I'm at 390 now but I need to get to 1.5v for 400 stable.

How much room is there between the bottom of the Infinity's fan and the top of the memory? I have a 120mm in the plexiglass side cover too but I think that will clear it. I could always put this crazy fast 90mm fan on it if I had too I guess.

If you do have ram clearance issues, couldn't you just move your ram to the other slots?

EDIT: Just looked on their site. They have a picture of it mounted in a CM Stacker 830. I may get this when it releases to replace my aquagate mini.

From the intel website:
Known issues

Issue: System does not boot, error codes may or may not appear
If the Intel® Core™2 Duo is installed before first upgrading the BIOS, the following error codes may appear (system dependant):

* Intel CPU uCode loading error
* Unknown BIOS error. Error Code = FFFF

Workaround: Install the original Intel® Core™ Duo processor (Yonah) and follow the steps above to upgrade the BIOS and then install the Core™2 Duo processor.

Because i really just have another older Core Duo processor lieing around lol...
