Graphics Card help!

Could I ask for some advice please. I will be playing ny AMD phenom iix6 on a monitor which does resolution 1200x720 or the next on up which is 1366x can't remember the resi lol. Which budget card could I get which plays games like gta, la noire, skyrim. I was finking of 6870 cus it was only 120 quid I Fink. Won't need a gpu that's too powerful as I'm only playin on 720p

The 6870 is about the best performing card at that budget. Try get a custom version for best noise/temp levels.

the 6870 its good but if you find a good price for a hd 6950 1gb its much better ,if you dont have to use eyefinity for gaming 1 gb is enough xd , i dont know what phenom II x6 you use , a friend of mine have a phenom II x6 1100t and run great with a 6990 but if you wanna play in 720,the choice is 6870/6950 1gb xd

you dont even need a 6870 if its 720p res.
but its the best bang for buck, and since it fits your price well, get it.

Cheapest I can see in UK is about £180 (PowerColor HD 6950 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI Mini.. ...). Makes it not budget and overpowered for his res. His intial choice of a 6870 is pretty sound.

Definitely 6870. 6950 is overkill for that res but you never know when you'll get a new shiny monitor.

Mate Tamworth is decent to Wolverhampton & bilston trust me. Neway does ne1 think the 4890 2gb edition will still be ok at that res. Cus I still have a spare one lying around somewhere

The HD 4890 will be overkill at that resolution too. So use that since you already have it.

You could get away with something like the new HD 7750.

oc a little bit the videocard if you see not high fps ,but at lower resolution like 1280 x 720 you dont have problem, same with 1680 x 1050 but if in the future you wanna use much higher res i dont know xd , yes for low resolution the hd 6950 is too much but if you wanna make other upgrades its a good deal xd
